Levantes creates a one on one performance for audience members. Forever fascinated by the varying ways people consume creative work, Levantes focuses on experience in it's most authentic, surprising and personal way.
Audience members will be asked to sign up for a timed slots and return to visit a designated area.
Individual audience members are lead into the space in complete darkness. Without seeing a thing they are lead to sit on the sofa in between the 2 Levantes Dance Theatre performers, dressed in large, theatrical, identical costumes. Once the audience member is settled the lights will come up and a family portrait will be captured by our photographer. In an instance the room will fall back into darkness and the audience member lead out of the room.
On leaving the room they will find a living room area with a table with the beginning of a treasure trail on it. An envelope will contain instructions of three steps to find gold. At the last stage the audience member will be presented with their captured image for them to keep.
A fun, visual, rich experience for each person that captures a moment of genuine surprise for them to remember. The engagement is deliberately on an intimate level with the one on one format.
A memorable moment is created, so that the audience have something physical (in the photograph) and individual (in the experience) to take away with them.
With the chance to view, re view, amend, share and pose for images we posses of ourselves; we are presenting an opportunity to remove a photograph from these conditions and reinstate it's strength in capturing genuine un scripted reactions to events.
